Abolish Monarchies

Every human is equal to every other human; no one is better or worse; every human deserves equal access to social, political, educational, and economic opportunities.

I loathe caste / class systems. What’s my opinion on monarchies? GRRR

Monarchies should be abolished. They signify inequality; they’re in-your-face representations of privilege - the belief that some people are "royal” and the others mere “commoners.”

Monarchies insult everyone except aristocrats. I want them gone, every king, prince, sultan, emir, duke, duchess, lord, count, princess, queen, chief, emperor, and earl.

I don’t want them publicly guillotined like Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, or secretly shot like Tzar Nicholas, Alexandra and their Romanov brood. I want is all monarchs and their occasionally inbred relations to renounce their thrones and titles; I want them to move out of their palaces; I want them to use surnames like rest of us (i.e., Charles Windsor) I want them to be mere citizens, members of the masses, joining the hoi polloi. 

Today, there's 44 sovereign nations. The ones that irk me the most are Thailand, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom (head of state in sixteen nations), Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Morocco, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Monaco, and Liechtenstein.

We can rid the world of monarchs using the strategies below:

Don’t buy postage stamps with royal visages and demand non-monarchial currency.

Vote for politicians that want to ditch monarchs.

Squat and Trespass on crown estates and spray paint graffiti on palaces.

Support comedic and media ridicule.

Boycott kingdoms on your vacations, especially Thailand where people are imprisoned 43 years for insulting the king.
